my 2009 rx 350 rear hatch goes down like it should but then won’t latch and goes back up. I live in the Midwest (cold) and I have noticed little things that don’t like the cold. Sometimes it goes up but then comes back down. If I hold it up for a few seconds it will stay up. I’m thinking it’s the air things. But my big issue is it won’t latch now. Any ideas?

has the button on the outside been melted or rusted in anyway? i know a lot of the older models have issues with the rubber button on the hatch melting and failing to lock
