2009 RX350 - Two Rear Door Lock Actuator fail
Hi ,
Two of my rear door lock actuator fail recently and I’m trying to find the replacement but no luck . Anyone here replaced their with aftermarket part before ? The dealer wants $200ish for each .... this is crazy . I’ve checked the ebay and they only have 07-08 available but not sure if they fit 09 ? Please help ...
Thanks .

I hope I am looking at the correct part. In the following link, scroll down to the 2nd diagram and see part # 6.
http://www.mylparts.com/auto-parts/2...rear-door-scat
For the years 2004 through 2008, there are different part numbers for cars built in Japan vs cars built in the US/Canada. The 2009 parts listing does not reference Japan built cars, only US/Canada
For US/Canada built cars, the part is the same in all 2nd gen RX, years 2004 through 2009. In some year listings it is called Lock Actuator Assembly and in other listings it is called Lock Assembly, but the part number is the same. Of course, the part numbers are different for the left and right sides.
So if I am looking at the correct part, you can use the one on e-bay. But verify that the part is for US/Canada cars.

DennisMik , it is a number 6 from a second diagram and this is a part number 69050-0E010 Rear Right / Rear Left 69060-0E010 Door Lock Actuator Built in US/ Canada . I've used that part # to cross reference from the ebay one but none of them are matching . All the ebay ones are for the RX350, Japanese built .
Do you think the Japanese one will fit our RX350 ( US/Canada) one ? I really don't want to go to the route that I have to open up the actuator and replace the motor by itself. I've read a few threads about it but that was for the GS series.

2009 LEXUS RX350/450H
Japanese Manufactured:
Rear Right Door Lock Actuator - 69050-33111
Rear Left Door Lock Actuator - 69060-33111
American Manufactured:
Rear Right Door Lock Actuator - 69050-0E010
Rear Left Door Lock Actuator - 69060-0E010
The Japanese version contains 2 extra pins for optional security system. It is also backwards compatible and will work in the American version, if ever in question get the Japanese version as it will work in both vehicles.
This is also a very misrepresented part on Ebay. The large aftermarket company Dorman has a listing error on their part. They state Gen2 as 07-08 and Gen3 as 09-15. However the actual generations are Gen2 07-09, gen3 10-15. I had many years of returns and miss-sales because of this.
Many sellers on ebay copy the information from Dorman and thus are selling the wrong part compatibly.

Lenny

Lenny,
Much appreciate for the info buddy. I was scratching my head the whole day yesterday cause I didn't know which part to get since the ebay sellers selling all the Japanese version. Ok final check, if I buy the Japanese version they will fit my 09 RX350 ( US/Canada built) WITHOUT any issue ? Even though there are two extra pins ? Also, are you the vendor here ?
Edit : I think I see your ads on ebay now .... Pm me I need the two rear.
Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Yes I sell re-manufactured units on Ebay. I try not to solicit my products on this forum but rather just give advice when I can.
My thought is that if you are going to swap the unit yourself then there's a good shot you can rebuild your unit too, so I'll just help with that.
However if you want to purchase my units I sure won't stop you. I'll shoot you a PM.

This is my sister’s car and I just want to get them done ASAP for her .
Bottom line is you scratch my back ..i’ll Scratch yours !!!
I did sent a message to you through your eBay ads if you want to check real quick .
