Default A click on pushing the brake

Hi all
Lately I started to hear a click on hitting the brake as if the brake switch is tripped,,never happened before
any ideas please

Best thing to do is this type of situation is to turn the car on (leave it in park) and get down there with a flashlight and press the pedal with your hand while looking up at the pedal assembly.

I know pads CLICK when switching in reverse. They reset themselves just yey much on shims when changing orientation of the force applied. Is it coming from front or rear?
I'd just lifted her up, wheels off, and check on how pads are set on bracket. Maybe shim broke or got lost.
Also, HIT the brakes or simply slow down? When you HIT the brakes, control arms move. Could be sign of CA bushing "getting there". If you feel it in steering wheel, it's ISS.

I failed to say it is an inside like the sound of a turn signal click just softer on hitting the brake peddle

Might be the brake light switch sticking..? (Just a guess ~ definitely worth looking into)

had to replace brake switch on mine at 134k miles, no click tho

You may wanna use some graphite or automotive grease (can't remember the name) because wd40 type sprays dry up over time and sometimes cause parts to become worse.

Just my $.02 here..
