The cruise control sounds like the brake switch might be bad, are your brake lights working properly? Have you checked for any AC error codes? Do a search for the procedure to get them and what they mean. Good luck!

Hi Gazz,
I have had that problem before on my 2001 RX300 with cold air blowing - it only uses one servro for both passenger and driver hot/cold air. If you have a RX330/350 it has a dual temp system, then the servo that controls the hot/cold to the passenger is bad - at least on the RX300 these tend to go bad often as it is located next to a hot pipe connected to the heater. You can replace this yourself and save a lot of money, though the part itself is quite expensive. I bought this part from Lexus the first time, and them off of Amazon the second time.
I also have the same problem with the cruise control on my 2001 RX300. Most of the time it worked, sometimes it just went off automatically when driving and then I had to step on the gas. Mine finally went out after 200,000+ miles, the cruise light comes on, but no cruise control. I haven't fixed it yet, but I took a look into why, and it turns out that there is a module that controls it in the dashboard that needs to be replaced - you can probably find that info in one of the forums here.

There is an in cabin temperature sensor by the drive side knee panel. Mine had a lot of dust on it when I cleaned it a couple of weeks ago. Before it was cleaned, my driver side temperature setting would not match the temp of the air coming out of the vents. I cleaned it out with a Q tip. I would recommend you doing the same to see if it fixed the issue
