Default Connecting new phone to Bluetooth

I got a new Samsung Galaxy j7 and it will not connect to Bluetooth. Does anyone have any fixes for this?

Hi bnewcol, I feel your pain, sometimes my Moto X or Moto G will not connect, sometimes they do. You may try putting your phone in different places near the car Bluetooth receiver when trying to connect - I think that it is near the rear view mirror.

I have a Samsung S6 and my phone couldn't find it. I'll dive into the manual I guess but do others have this problem with newer phones?
