i was hit today. I know this isn’t auto body site, but curious is anyone can help and give me opinions on whether insurance will fix or total this car. It has bumper, trunk and rear right quarter panel damage. Any opinions appreciated

What year is your RX350? How many miles? Any airbags go off (I am guessing no, but just asking)?
Unless there is some major damage when they take things apart, that looks to be repairable.

2009 Lexus RX go for about $8,000-12,000. Assuming no structural damage or damage to the suspension, I would guess that your insurance company will likely quote the cost of repair rather than declaring a total loss. A body shop will likely repair it for a few thousand plus the cost of parts.

It's cost to value ratio that insurance looks at. Cars were totaled for less damage than that. Of course, it's repairable. What will insurance decide - only insurance knows. If they total it, take money, keep car, find a decent repair shop and get it fixed. Drive till wheels fall off. Rear end damages are not as serious as front. Unless it's hybrid.

I took a few additional pictures and appears frame behind bumper is pushed in on 2 spots. I’m wondering if insurance will agree to repair this

Thank you for your insight, Connrodd. Seems like a lot of repairs for a 2009 with 155,000 miles. Even at cheaper US prices, I’m thinking this will be extremely expensive to repair and possibly totaled? Getting estimates this week, I hope.

Interestingly the adjuster from his company his estimating $4600 damage, barring any damage he can’t see. I find that really, really low. I’ll see what body shops say.
