Running boards?

I'm considering running boards: wife is short, RX could use some flair. Any thoughts, pics, recommendations?

Here's mine. Generic eBay running boards/nerf bars I got for less than $100, easy install. Considered OEM but at $600 and required paint matching, pass.

Look at what e-bay has. Most of them are tubular bars, but there are some boards.

My search so far puts most boards as 2010 and later...bummer. I want more running board options for the 2nd Gen!
