RX330 Drivers side headlightnow purple?
Good morning fellow Lexus owners, need some information & help...My drivers side headlight is now suddenly a purple hue?? It is not flickering or turning off by itself, the passenger side is fine. So my question is: Is it just the bulb? Or possibly the ballast?? If it is...where do I find the OEM part # to purchase the bulbs & can you suggest a website to purchase them....( I know everyone will say buy 2 & replace both at same time which I have no problem with) side note: I have never had a problem with the headlights ever on this vehicle. (Only had the warranty recall on my lenses which Lexus replaced) Is this a simple replacement or do I need a mechanic?? Thank you for any information, much appreciated, Kimberly

Your HID bulb is slowly dying. A quick test is to move the left bulb to the right and see if the problem follows the bulb. If it does you have your answer, but if it doesn't then your ballast is dying. Bulb replacement is easy, just loosen the grey cover and remove the bulb. Ballast replacement requires removing the headlight. Ballast is underneath the headlight and requires releasing the bumper to access the one hidden bolt. The bulb is a D2S HID bulb, and the ballast is D2S HID Ballast

All great, helpful information! 100% agree - you're definitely going to find yourself in the market for either a pair of D2S HID Bulbs or a new D2S HID Ballast.
