Still drifts to the right after several alignments..
My mechanic said it's because of bad tires(even though they're still in good condition) and need to replace the rack and pinion(which shows). Could a bad R&P be the cause for the drifting? Or is it more to do with the tires? Thanks in advance CL peeps gotta love this forum!

A couple of thoughts:
An easy way to determine if it is the tires would be to rotate the tires around and see if it fixes the pull
Also vehicles many times naturally pull to one side or the other on roads due to the curvature/pitch of the roads to ensure proper drainage/water run-off
My wife's RX330 had a similar issue and new tires fixed the issue.
For me, the Birdgestone Dueler alenzas(s/p?), despite having good tread, caused the car to pull to one side. After rotating the tires, the pulling was greatly decreased/ almost non-existent.
