Some times the a/c light flash, but most of the time it don't. The belt is tight and the compressor is full of refrigerant.
Does anyone knows how to keep the compressor working at all times? What can be the problem for the compressor to stop at random?

Ac flashing indicates mulfunction in AC system. Take it to AC shop before something fries. There is not way to keep comp on outside of running rocker switch to clutch - but then you WILL fry clutch and seize comp.

Not really. It can be anything from malfunctioning climate control unit to any obstructions in AC lines or compressor components. Even as simple as, actually, overcharged system. AC is a tricky DIY system to fool with, less than $100 spent at AC shop to diagnose is money well spent. We had AC issue, with blinking light, on our 99 RX and it turned out to be some minor component. Total bill was $127, diagnostic and repair included.

A/C Quote From Dealer
You are correct! The dealer is asking for $2,000+. The dealer is talking about an A/C code B1422. What ever that means; see attachment.
Thanks,
