I have yet figured out why the rear seats in my 05 RX330 have tracks. I can bring the rear seats all the way forward so that there is zero leg room. What is the purpose of it?

They also move forward a little when the backrest is folded down. It allows them to lay a little flatter. When both my kids were in boosters, we would push them forward to gain a few inches of hatch space. Just had the seat apart last week to fix a rattle. It is pretty complex.

I was in the same boat as you, OP. I'm 32 and having kids soon. Turned out I bought the GSF. It was a very difficult decision as I wanted the LC and also could afford it.
Best advice I can say is make yourself happy and be realistic. If having space for your wife and your newborn makes you happy, the LC isn't for you.
