My mechanic and I have been trying to figure out why the left rear brake won't activate. The caliper is fine and not sticking open. It appears that there is no fluid being pumped from the ABS pump to that brake. Cost of a used ABS pump is $1,000 to $1500. I can't afford that right now. Is there any other possible cause like a bad relay or ABS sensor? I have been working on that side to replace bushings and wheel bearing myself so I could have ruined the sensor by accident. I just can't keep throwing money at this and it's been one thing after another. Any ideas on if there is something more simple and inexpensive? Maybe some other thing to try? My mechanic opened the bleeder valves to see if there was fluid or pressure but we didn't bleed the system or anything. Any help would be appreciated.
