Just bought a 2005 RX 330 for my 16 year old daughter. It has 162,000 miles on it and is in great shape. Most maintenance was done at the dealership. Cost $8000. Do you all think that was a good deal. My husband is disagreeing with me. Just wanted a few opinions. Thanks!

Price sounds a little high for an 05. Depending on condition of course.
Make sure the timing belt was replaced.

I think it's reasonable. 162k miles is barely breaking in. With the passage of time, RX 330 have proven reliable and the cost of RX330 have been rising over the past year.

Maybe you can negotiate with the dealer down to $7000.

The RX has been bought. You can create your account at the Lexus website and input your VIN and you can see the history of the car whenever it was taken to a Lexus dealer. Also tells you recall work performed. A little assurance that the RX will serve your daughter right.

I was just shopping. That's a bit high for a 05. I would pay $8k for a 2008 with around 150k miles.

Is it all-wheel drive? That could make a significant difference in price depending on where you live.

Depends on the shape, so long as it’s mint you did ok. I’ve seen RXs with 100k that we’re hammered, and ones with 200k that we’re brand new.
