Rsearch done on Prius taxi cabs showed that at 300 000 miles driven, battery is still at 90% capacity. They last.
Then, of course, there are those that fail. One never knows. But fails are rather minuscule. I talked to local Toyota dealer about that, when they worked on my TCH. He said they replaced ONE Prius battery in five years.
Yours is same battery, just larger capacity. cells inside are identical.

After reading up about the lifespan of the hybrid battery, I felt very comfortable purchasing a hybrid with 145k miles. I was initially shopping for a car with around 110k miles, but with how incredible these batteries are, I am not even worried when i get to 200k miles. By the time I get to that mileage, the price of battery might drop further. Currently, its around $1200, and very easy DIY. Watch a few youtube videos. I am okay paying $1200 if/when the battery dies. I got mine for a good price.
