Default Rolling sound. 2007 RX 350.

Something is rolling across my car when I turn corners. Sounds like it might be in the dashboard. It wasn't do this 4 days ago. I can't pinpoint it. Has someone experienced this before?

Sound like classic case of something dropped into the defroster ducts from the top of the dash.

That's what I thought as well, but there is never anything up there that can fall in.

Of course, stuff rolling in glove compartment is out of question, right?
1. something came loose and rolls back and fore?
2. is it metal sound, plastic sound, whooshing sound or sloshing sound?

It's not in the glove box because it rolls clear across the car. It sound like metal to me because it sounds fairly heavy.

Just checking. Sometimes most obvious things are missed.
There is about only one thing a piece of metal can roll across entire dash. Main air duct. Horizontal and long enough. If you lay on your back and look up underneath the dash, it's all hollow spaces.

It seem to have stopped now. I don't get it. Whatever it was found a resting spot for now.

On the second thought... Cowl. It's a large flat metal piece at the firewall top. Covered by plastic cover. If something came loose there of fell down onto it then yes, it will be rolling from side to side. A rock maybe somehow got there. Life happens.

Cowl is not that hard to get to. Plastic grill removed, after wipers removed, and they are very easy to pop off. Just make sure to mark their alignment. I had mine removed about 5 times, when I did front struts on my HiHy, and yours are no different. Just be gentle with cowl cover plastic clips, they break easily.

If the sound comes back, I'm checking that first.
