Solution for cracked Key cases
#2
Warning though, my 2004 RX330’s key did not have the wing feature as shown. So I will have to modify my key (yes I have destroyed my key already) to fit this case and for it to work. For now I am using the case and my spare Transponder key. I have an idea and if it works, I will post it here.

I got it for about $10 after my keyfob shell started cracking. I think it fits well though the plastic scratches easily.
I also had to pry out the metal key tip from the OEM keyfob shell using a pair of pliers so now the original keyfob is just a collection of plastic shards.

If my key broke, I would just get a new key cut and move the remote from the old key to the new. I have order keys from 1010keys before and was very satisfied with their service.

Also it is possible to use the keydiy keys! However, you have to program them through the app, which i possible with a normal android phone! price is around 30$ + whatever the key cutting costs. you can buy them from aliexpress for example, and there are a lot of different designs available.

Dealer wanted $400 to replace my key fob! WTF!!
STAUBER is an AWESOME solution! My greedy local Lexus dealer charges $335 for parts and "additional programming charge" for one replacement key.
Love my Lexus, HATE LEXUS DEALERS!!!
