Default Replacement Mirrors

Hi there. I need a sticker and the Lexus dealer is telling me that I need to replace my mirror because it is tarnished. You may be asking, why is my truck at the dealer? Well...because my regular mechanic tried diagnosing the check engine light multiple times and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I had a strong feeling it was another engine coil - bingo! Now the dealer wants to charge me $600 for a new mirror! A few questions... Will these mirrors work?

Mine are painted so I just want to get the black ones and call it a day. Also, is this something I can do by myself and have it pass inspection? Thanks!

They are rather easy to replace. You get to mounting hardware removing mirror base cover from the door trim. Then it's just plug n play. Black is black, none wrong with it. Just keep in mind, they likely are not painted, but primed only. Ready for paint. If you feel adventurous, a spray bottle of paint should cost you about $50 or so from auto paint store. Sherwin Williams does paints too. Pretty much, any large paint chain. Also, you can get them from parts stores, but they do come with a wrong nozzle. That one is rather not paint job friendly.
Is is a front engine coil? Those are around $70 parts store and very easy to replace too.

But will the ones I linked work with my truck? How do I know if they're heated, memory, auto dimming, etc?

Well, that's as good as trusting online descriptions, right? memory is not actually in the mirror, memory is in mirror control block that simply tells mirror what to do.
It clearly says, heated, mirror. Replaces dealer parts...., so you can call dealer or stop by and ask for mirror part numbers and compare, right?
Oh, and have you noticed, where it says - can be painted to any color customer specifies? Few bucks more..
