If it's a small leak, then I would just add some Lucas PS stop leak to the reservoir every now and then and see if the leak stops (seems to be working for me, but my leak is at rack). Nothing to lose, since if that fails, you're replacing it anyway. Also, make sure it is not leaking on the steering rack like it does for so many (mine included), will rot boot on tie rods eventually.

Good insight...was also told that the steering gear has a small leak as well.....at some point will need to replace Rack and Pinion ***'y as well as removing and replacing steering gear....over $1,000...oh crap....am wondering if i should get rid of this car although i do like it......so $1,000 plus $700 [ if need to replace power steering pump ]is beyond my budget...oh crap!

Had mine replaced (power steering pump and lines) as the leak resulted in a whinning sound on startup and making tight turns ie a U turn. Forgot exact cost but was expensive. I went ahead whatever the mechanic recommended including getting a new reservoir and using all genuine Lexus parts. I am glad I got the fix. No need to get rid of the car for simple thing like that.
