Rx400h European navigation DVD reader part number
I have a 2006 Rx400h that I exported from US to France and I need to replace the navigation DVD reader because it will not work with European disks. Does anybody know the correct part number so that I can search Ebay with?

DVDs have different formats used around the world. The formats are referred to as "regions."
Region 1 (R1) USA, Canada, US Territories
Region 2 (R2) Japan, UK, Europe, South Africa, Middle East
Region 3 (R3) Southeast Asia and East Asia (including Hong Kong and Thailand)
Region 4 (R4) Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South America, Caribbean
Region 5 (R5) Eastern Europe, Indian Subcontinent, Africa,
Region 6 (R6) China
Region 7 (R7) Reserved
Region 8 (R8) Special International Venues (Planes, Ships etc)
Region 0 (R0) Region Free DVD's
The DVD player can be made to read more than one region, but they usually don't. Then there are the video (or television) formats that are also recorded on the DVD. The U.S. uses the 525 scan line 60Hz NTSC system and Europe uses the 625 scan line 50Hz PAL system. An European TV can display the U.S. NTSC format but the reverse is not true. I don't know if the Lexus navigation system screen is essentially a small television or not.
