Starting Issue

I've been checking around for someone to assist with the able scanner. A locksmith company in Omaha I was referred to suggested the following: Find out on the forum you are part of and which two pins to jump with a wire or paperclip on your OBDII plug. Once you jump those contacts turn the ignition to the on position and leave it there for 31 minutes. That will reset the ECU to the immobilizer.
Any feedback on this procedure would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone for all the help so far!

I was going to sugg just that but wanted to know what codes you have first, if any, on the Transponder ECU.
Not knowing if you have any codes pertaining to your issue,
Do this at your own risk:
— Jump pins CG and TC
— KEY ON posistion for at least 30 min.
I suggest having a battery charger hooked up so you wont run out of juice during the proccess.
Goodluck.

I do have a regular OBDII scanner but it doesn't show any codes of course. If there is a possibility of screwing up the ECU or causing more problems I'd rather see if there are any codes relating to the issue first. I guess I'm not clear on the difference in the "able scanner" and a regular scanner like mine which is an Actron brand.
