Default Alignment?

I just got my brakes done and they noted inner wear on my front tires to the point they are shot.

I thought modern cars don't really need alignment - so what's the story with the RX350 - what could cause this? It seems to drive fine - no pulling to one side or another. but only 24K miles on my Michelin tires and two need replacing - the other two only have 3/32 tread left so probably needing a whole new set!

all cars need wheel alignments at regular intervals. There should have been an alignment when you fitted the new tires.. If all tires need replacing , that may be the life of the tires.

Thanks, will do an alignment with the new tires for sure. I don't think one was done with the last set. The Michelin MXM4 tires that wore out so fast were not particularly quiet either, so probably need to go to another brand.

Try Bridgestone tires. Go to Costco.

First of all 3/32 is not very safe. You should replace all 4 tires when they get under 4/32. Michelin tires are known for having soft rubber compound and wear out sooner than most tires.

Depending on on how many miles you have will depend if you should get wheel alignment when you get new tires. My daughters 07 rx350 has 103k miles and I just put new tires on and also got a wheel alignment. It wasn’t pulling either but one of the front tires was slightly out of alignment.

Any yes all cars require wheel alignment as they get older. As everything starts wearing out adjustments need to be made.
