Default Tires

Hi. Another problem has reared its ugly head. I have a 2005 rx330, AWD. I am trying to purchase new tires. It's over $500 for four. I was told by a tire man that I cannot put on two now and then two in another month, when I can afford them, because it will mess up the transfer case.
Can someone tell me if this is true or was he trying to sell me more tires. I was thinking I could put a patch on the one with the slow leak and rotate them but the problem still remains that I need new ones. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

On AWD vehicles, it’s always recommended to replace all 4 at once.

Tire safety is very important. A bald tire is more susceptible to puncture damage (which is a hazard). If you look at the cost of a set of good tires with regards to miles, you will see that the investment makes sense. Best way is to wait for a tire sale, where your discount is like paying only for 3 tires (for 4).

Default Maybe a temp fix!

I have to see today, but if my spare is the same as the rest, I'm going to rotate the tires and put a patch on the slow leak. That should buy me some time to find a good deal on good tires. I won't put lesser quality tires on it! I would be placing myself in jeopardy since I live at @8000 feet and the roads up and down are quite serpentine with snow expected anytime from now until next April!
They're not bald they still have some life on them but Michelin tires don't come thrifty so I'm buying a little time to get all four!
I'm going out now to check the spare, if the same I can rotate them myself with the enclosed jack!
My eyes are on the sales ads now!!! I may have to sell a kidney, but hey, that's why I have two, right?🙄

Firestone stores have a 30 day "try 'em" promotion. Return them and get your money back before 30 days.
