Default Stereo Upgrade - What Works?

I want to upgrade the factory stereo of my 2008 Lexus RX400H.

I believe it has the navigation package, and no ML Audio.
From my research so far, the GROM VL2 Infotainment system looks like what I should get.
Seems to pack all the features I need, but I'm curious whether anyone can confirms it actually works with my vehicle.

Here is what I am considering. Long but comprehensive that ensure all the existing controls work with the new radio/infotainment center.

it works + it works great. provided you do have the oem backup camera (screen).

like everyone else - i bought it for carplay/android auto (+ ability to stream music)

but if you use it as an android device, it can do so much more. its basically an android phone, mated to the oem touch screen.

all your standard android apps... i.e gmail, spotify , maps, whatsapp.... stuff you will never need when driving (but ur passengers can have fun with)... fb, IG, youtube, vlc viewer, netflix, disney+, hulu

all as if fully integrated + oem.

I wanted to find any instructions on where you have to mount/ place the main GROM brain/console. I saw a few videos that mention it has to go in the glove box but I think this was a different model.

I have an rx 400h and if possible would want to mount the brain behind the CD player.

mounted inside glove box. I had to google around to find the rx350/rx330 diagrams re how to disassemble the glovebox. not impossible and not too tricky but there are no videos I could find on YouTube. had to use the diagrams.

make sure to plug the glovebox lamp (and rear hatch safety control button) back in when re-assembling.
