Default and body roll upgrades for 2009 rx?

Hi everyone, i was curious to know if there are any mods in terms of having less body roll on the rx350?
I don't want to stiffen the suspension, as our roads here are bad and have lots of potholes. It's more for when taking corners, to have less leaning into turns/corners? maybe sway bar bushings?
any advise would be great, thanks

What you want is a stronger sway bar. The sway bar bushings are simply to hold the sway bar away from the metal frame.

I don't know of any stronger sway bars. Maybe a road racing store might have something like this, but probably not for the RX vehicle.

I know that the jdm Toyota Harrier had some aftermarket support but never really looked into it. I'd be interested in this too. Just something to tighten up the handling nothing crazy.

Exactly, i don’t want to make the ride more harsh, just better cornering.

Are you guys saying urethane sway bar bushings will not improve handling over the 10 year old rubber bushings?

Bushings do not improve handling. Replacing worn bushings could reduce clunking noises if the original bushings are worn bad enough. Using a different material such as urethane could further reduce noises.

Hmm i would have thought that by putting new bushings (to replace the 10 year old ones) would make it more quiet (no clunking) and more firm, and urothanes would make it a bit more rigid, no?

The sway bar is a spring that is there to reduce body roll or sway or whatever you want to call it. The bushings are used to keep the spring in its proper position without allowing metal to metal contact. When the spring operates, it presses against the bushing. This happens quickly and with a lot of force and the bushing has to compress to absorb the energy of that motion. If the bushing material is too firm, you would get a thumping sound transmitted into the car body. If it is too soft, the bushing compresses too much and you would also get a thumping sound. A lot of people say that urethane is better than the material the manufacturer uses. I don't know one way or the other. But if you want to reduce body roll, you need a stiffer spring, or in this case, sway bar.
