Hi, I am new to this forum and didnt find any similar topic. After 210k km, parts of the exhaust system on my RX400h need to be replaced. I need the middlepart (basically only silencer/muffler) and as the original lexus part comes together with cat, the price is just crazy (1500+usd). I didnt find any aftermarket replacement. Was also thinking about replacing the middle muffler with simple pipe, but have no clue what would that do with the sound? If it wouldnt be to aggresive or headache causing on longer rides. Anyway I contacted few companies who are doing custom exhausts but they would be more comfortable with exact dimensions of original muffler. Could someone provide me with that? Thank you.
That information came from the Walker Exhaust Company (https://www.walkerexhaust.com/produc...t-vehicle.html) that makes replacement exhaust parts for most cars sold in the United States. I hope that the muffler on your car is the same as the muffler used in the United States. The company does not sell direct to the end user (you and me), we must buy it from an auto parts store.
There is an internet auto parts website called www.rockauto.com They will ship around the world and also take the currency of a few other countries that are not the United States dollar. But they do not take the Czech Republic koruna. I would think that shipping charges and tariffs would be very expensive.
Maybe if you look at auto parts stores in England, you might find a better price.
