The dash indicator for a tail light bulb being out is lit on my 07 RX. the light on the bottom left was out and i replaced it , but the tail light out indicator is still lit. Am I missing any other bulbs that are obvious here? My license plate lights not seen in this picture are both on as well.

Brake lights are a twin filament bulb setup. Pull the bulb (far left and far right) to see the condition of the filaments, if they look in tact, then have someone depress the brake while you have the running lights on, you should see both light up.
As far as I know; license plate light, reverse lights, and bottom running lights are not monitored by CANBUS and will not throw the bulb out light on the dash. Only the main brake lights and running lights.

I forgot to mention that the tail light indicator lamp turns on only when the lights turn on, i.e. when it's dark out and we turn on the headlights.

Problem solved. I replaced the led bulbs with regular ones and it went away.
brake lights need to be the standard type.

I figured it had something to do with the bulb being the wrong type. Glad you debugged it.
