250k on our RX is nothing. Our 1988 Toyota Camry (4cyl) had just over 351,000 miles before rust, general wear and a rear main seal leak made it not worth repairing -- engine and transmission were original.

Wow, like those prices, over here those prices would be $8500.- $10.000. I was in the same boat a bit ago, after looking for awhile. I'd make a trip in one area 20-30 miles to check out different ones every Sunday/Monday morning. I found a place that had 4, one I wasn't interested in one being a fwd, the 1st one was easy to get out which was a 350, which I drove & that told me to go w/ a 350 over the 330 model. I always went to places w/o texting/calling or mentioning I interested in such & such vehicle, as I wanted to hear the motor when it was cold, which btw the 350 I drove rattled a bit thanx to the vvt. btw the oil was full & clean. Some when I got to a 3 places there were sold, my wife would mention it wasn't meant to be. So after a bit I found a '07 in Breakwater blue, which was different as most were black or that Bamboo color & a few were silver. I was trying to keep under 140-150K. This one needed brakes & a windshield which I had them install a new one as well as Centric rotors/pads. The following week, black friday swapped out the oil cooler hoses as well as the rear vvt hose, swapped out the p/s pump & last week the alternator. Yea I stuck to the 100amp one vs the 130. Next I'm thinking about adding a oem trans cooler. I'll make a thread for that. So now we have a '07 w/ 144K. I'd say go w/ the best condition model whether its a 330 or 350. Both engines have their positives & negatives. I found some w/ higher mileage thats had a lot done & a few w/ nothing done. So take your time & open up your search radius. I was open to either one.

Yea it took me about a month of looking around online and going to different used car lots and driving different rxs; and finally after looking online I came across the one I have now at a Land Rover/jaguar dealer. I immediately told my dad we need to get on this one before someone else does. And at the time it only had 66000 miles on it which was morning for a 07. So we signed the contract for it and I’ve had it for 3 years now. So In the end I would say go for the 350 over the 330 because u also don’t have to deal with changing a timing belt as the 350 has a chain instead which never should have to be changed.

I know right. Actually; around here in the phoenix az area; Ive seen quite a few that are the same blue as mine both 2nd gen, 3rd gen and above. If memory serves correct; the color is called breakwater blue. I like it too because while yes u cant see it in the pic but mine now has a few dented spots from people not being careful where they are parking etc that i need to sand down and spray it with a rattle can I have of this same color. I like it because in addition to silver and tan; while yes it does show dirt; if its just light dust or dirt u cant really see it. Mine has a few issues that still need to be ironed out like now Ive got that noise which I am having looked at saturday and Ive got a transfer case slowly seeping fluid; short of that I love it. Drivetrain has been rock solid etc and now ive racked up a bit over 138,000 miles so far and other than then these issues popping up now its to be expected I guess for a 12 year old vehicle.

and oh yea; when i first got mine it only had 66000 miles on it so whoever had it before didnt put squat worth miles on it. I think it was a "snowbird" couple that only drove it while they were visiting the area because when i got it; it had a "battery tender" on it. thats my guess anyways. so it only had 66000 on it when i got and that was nov 26th of 2016 and now ive got 138,000 on it so Ive racked up quite a few miles on it.

My 2003 RX 300 has 220k miles and I just bought a 2008 RX350 for my wife with 187k on the odometer. I thought $5,500.00 was not a bad price to pay in Arizona for that car. I must say I love the RX350 much more for the extra horsepower and smother ride. The RX 350 does have michelin tires on it so that could be part of the smoother ride.

thats not bad at all. before you bought it were u sure to have it inspected etc? get this one: when i first got my 07 rx350 almost 4 years ago; it only had about 66,000 miles on it; so whoever had it before me barely drove the thing. me and my dad jumped on it right away when i saw it on a local dealer website because I knew if we didnt someone else probably would. Ive more than made up for the lack of driving though I think as now it has almost 146,000 on it. at first i had some issues and i wasnt too crazy about the rx and for a short time was thinking of looking elsewhere for something different; however in the end i decided to just finish the payments on the loan contract and keep driving it til the wheels fall off. just my thoughts here.
