I hear a noise at approx 14 seconds of the video. It seems to happen right about when the engine starts to rev. This makes me wonder if you have a bad motor mount, which allows the engine to "jump" when you hit the gas.

it doesn’t sound like a possible bearing or something like from the water pump or other accessory drive pulleys? Or even something more severe?

It’s like sounding like a “diesel” or something which I don’t think is right

Volume is up and ears on speakers I hear a noise from the middle to near the later part of the video sounds a little like lower engine grumbling
, some echoing, and possible a little bearing whine but it is hard for me to hear it so it is a just a guess.
And some thunp thump thump tire noise.
Edit Video #2 you posted just heard it.
I am not sure but I'm still hearing the same but more pronounced especially the whine and the lower engine grumbling but I don't know.

Maybe others more ideas.

so was I right in thinking it’s possibly a bearing in the water pump and or one of the other drive pulleys?

I listened to the 2nd video and I can't say I hear any particular noise. My other post was base on hearing some kind of one time thump at approx 14 seconds. Bearing noise from the engine is a lower tone and keeps repeating. A bad bearing can usually be heard at idle. A bad alternator bearing or water pump is usually more like a squeal.

Overall, I dont' really know, I'm taking a guess.

Well I know I have a slight alternator squeak happening as the manager of the shop down the street from me pointed it out awhile ago. I just hope it doesn’t get any worse but it probably will as time goes on. I’m taking it to a shop Saturday morning to see what they find

What was the repair shop's diagnosis of the sounds you are hearing?

so far they are saying they can’t hear anything unusual; but Ive been trying to tell them that what I hear keeps sounding like a “diesel” when cold on startup and accelerating when cold; but it’s not nearly as noticeable when warmed up. There has got to be some logical explanation for what I’m hearing; but I don’t know what it is.

We just had this exact issue on our RX350. It was a bad motor mount which allowed the exhaust to flex. We only heard it when the engine was cold. Shop ended up replacing motor mount and exhaust gasket. Problem solved.

I hope this helps.

one note - our shop claimed they could not hear anything wrong initially. We left it overnight when temps dropped, shop guy called next morning and told us they “ got her to talk today “... the repair happened and all was well.
