Question Turning my 330 off with the aircon on?

Before turning my rx330 off, should I always turn the aircondition off? Or does this not matter? Please advise!

Thank you!
Sonny

Don't know how different the 330 AC system is from the 300.

If you live in low humidity climate, it does not matter if the ac is on or off when you turn off the RX.

My family always gets mad at me, as I turn the AC (comp) off whne we are about 2 min to park in the garage. In addition to a smaller puddle in the garage, there is no musty smell in the cabin. [Dig old posts if you are interested ... but then they apply for 300]

I do the same specifically to get rid of the musty smell, or to not get it in the firt place. However, I think the AC compressor disengauges when you start the car, so leaving it on should be okay. I sometimes leace the AC on when I know I want to remote start the car with the AC on to cool the car (Not on the RX330 though since I haven't gotten around to installing an alarm or remote starter yet). I've never had any major problems with ACs in cars that I left the compressor on, and we use our AC every day.

Default No Musty Smell and Smaller Puddle?

Thank you for the quick response! Just one more question out of curiosity/concern, when you two mentioned "less musty smell," and "smaller puddles," does this mean that the water that should drip out of the car stays in the car? Wouldn't this cause bacteria to build up causing bad odors in the AC? Or am I getting this all wrong?

Thank you Salim and CK6Speed for your input!

This is again an area where physics rules. By cutting the comp, further condensation stops. Since the blower kees blowing air .. it kinda airs the system out a bit.

Where one AC system is different from other is in the collector compartment and drain orfice. Some people have had an issue with RX300 in this regard. I have not run into this problem as I follow my ritual in RX and other cars that I drive/drove.
