which gas do you use? also..is Ethanol bad?
Hi everyone, how goes it? was curious to know what type, gas do you put into your rx's? as well, is ethanol good for the car?
I usually end up putting in gas from the major, top tier gas stations. most of the stations have a sign stating that their gas contains a small % of ethanol. I usually put in $hell as it's 91 octane doesn't have ethanol in it. in terms of milage i find i get a pinch more when using this gas.

I usually run Mobil gas but down here in FL it has been 87 or 89 or 93 octane(no 91) lately so I been running 89 but getting ready to try the 93.
Also, I have no idea how much ethanol is in it- I would prefer none.

here in arizona; there isnt 93; only 91 so thats what ive been running; sometimes i use shell which is probably one of the better fuel brands i think because its a bit pricier than the other brands out there; but depending where i am sometimes I have to use others like convienience store brand fuel which i know is not t he best for these engines probably. Ive also used costco gas which might not be the best but its also less expensive. i think our fuels here in arizona do have a little ethanol in it because of enviromental mandates etc

and that is just another reason among many i plan on going back to toyota because the highlander im looking at doesnt require premium fuel; it can run fine on regular. im tired of my bank account going toward premium every time. ive been doing it for a bit over 3 years now and its enough.

Kirkland (Costco) is actually rated as a top tier gas. I've been debating using it but I just stick to shell. They're at 93 in NJ but it is what it is.
too many comparison videos out there and that's just what I'm comfortable with

Up until the last two years, we ran Chevron premium (91) in our 2009 RX350 and it's ludicrous expensive. We now run Costco premium (91) and haven't noticed any difference in how the car runs. When we replace this car, we will definitely check what gas it requires before we purchase!

yea they dont have 93 here in arizona; highest octane at normal gas pumps is 91. I normally try to use shell as thats probably t he best for these older rxs at least thats what im thinking and also because im still driving it with a rod knock in it and so hopefully we can move on the vehicle switch soon as i dont know how much longer i have before this sucker "grenades" on me. but hopefully the premium might prolong such a event. dont know though as im no mechanic.
