you may wanna run a search for nudge bar here - I recall seeing some pix on a harrier - I think it looks cool - it's the sidebars I've seen that ruin the line of the 330

I recently contacted Lexus to inquire about nudge bars for the 330 and I was told that while they're available from aftermarket retailers, Lexus CANNOT install them because they may adversly affect the sensors used to deploy airbags..... interesting

In Aussie Lexus offer a nudge bar as an option which means that they are fully airbag compliant. Have a loom in the gallery as I have posted a picture (not great from brochure). My RX330 is due in about a month. Will post pictures as soon as I get it. It has the Nudge bar and Towbar fitted.

Another option is from www.cobra-sor.com/ they make a nice looking nudge bar for the RX300/330.

Are there any importers that have the Australian nudge bar in the US?

Not that I know of but can not see why your lexus dealer could not request it.

Well supposedly nudge bars are not officially offered in the US because of legal (lawsuits) reasons. Americans would sue for injury by nudge bar or that the air bags were interfered with by the nudge bar. So I don't think a US dealer could really get them imported into the US.

Another option might be to contact Paul at Wyndam Lexus where I have bought my Lexus from. I have mentioned to Paul that the Nudge Bar is not available in the US and that several people are interested in obtaining one. His email is paul@lexusofwyndham.com.au . He is the sales manager and I am sure he would be able to organise to get one shipped to you. With regard to fitting it looks like you could do it yourself.

hey firebird your from the Geelong area?
I nearly got my RX330 from Wyndham, but it was the blue demo they have there. Im now getting my RX330 black on black in 2 weeks time from Melb lexus.

Which option u go for? Couldn't get the sports luxury package coz can't be bothered waiting until october/november when my order comes, so went for the normal rx330 when a customer cancelled

Hi, I live in Blackburn and bought my RX330 from Wydham because Paul did me what I consider a real good deal. I got a Mica Metallic Blue RX330 with Luxury Sports Pack, Nudge Bar, Towbar and 7 Years Warranty for $83,000 including on-road @ 6.95% finance.

What I am now pricing it the cost to get the alloy wheels polished. Was looking to get them chomed but can not find any one in aussie who can chrome ally wheels. Canterbury Tire and Wheel Supermart estimates that it will cost between $80-150 per wheel.

The only other thing that I am getting done is to have the dealer apply 5 Star Shine instead of wax during pre-delivery. I have included the link. Basically this stuff costs $150.00 AUD and means you only have to polish your car once every five years.

www.5starshine.com.

The only thing that pissed me off about Lexus is that I could not get the light grey/walnut interior, the only choice was Tan/Birdseye which is abit loud.

Cheers Firebird.

yours is the demo car right?
i was going to get that as well.. was going to wait a week or so and try to bring the price down to $80-81K
I didn't know that it had most of the accessories installed already

I fell in love with that colour after seeing it at Brighton Lexus. Was going to get the one on the showroom, but Brighton couldn't find another car to replace that.I

Anyway congrats on the purchase.. guess i'll have to stick with my Black on black sports with nothing and buy a melway
I only added parking sensors and the paint protection full window tint option to my RX330.
Oh yeah im from the Brighton area.

Hey i've also noticed that the USA RX330 had another moonroof that can be installed according to some websites. a 3 piece moonroof thing? is that correct?
The aussie delivered RX330 doesn't have this option right?

oh yeah might check out the BBS rg-r

Black RX330 emblems
BBS wheels for the RX330

the only problem im thinking is the ability to of the wheels to take a pounding? with aftermarket wheels on a 4wd is it not recommended to take it as rough as you normally would with standard wheels?

No, mine is on order. Due first week October. In aussie the sun roof comes standard. The 3 panel moon roof is not an option.
