Drls are a waste of battery and are an attention getter for the police. If it's dark, rainy, foggy, or you are in an eclipse turn the headlights on! But to have lights on a bright day is ridiculous.
Now, say you are the highway patrol and are radaring oncoming traffic. Who do you think is more visible...those with DRL or those without? If you wonder, just look down a long strech of road.
Why not paint your car bright neon orange...that would be safe,,, unless someone runs into you because they get blinded.
There! I said it. Now, if anyone has info regarding disabling the drl on a RX330, please post.

Waste of battery-NO.
Have you ever seen these idiots that run with NO lights on when its rainy/foggy out there? I sure have and if they would have had DRL;s AT LEAST they would have some lights on so people could see them.
Even is bright sunlight you are visable to other cars, which helps avoid accidents and if you are worried about cops---Umm time for a radar detector too!
Just ranting on my part, I like having lights on at all times--if it saves from someonw pulling out in front of me or me seeing them at a glance

Good luck in finding the answer---some guy said the dealer did it for him

As far as attracting police, I don't really believe that.
Cops are extremely unlikely to bother with a luxury car, at least in this state. They're more likely to pull over older beat up cars, assuming they'll be driven by kids or may have inspection or (non) registration issues.
With that said, I sometimes find the DRL to be annoying. DRL's are not required in our state, but I believe they are in the state where I bought the car. The DRLs have often upset other drivers, because they look like high beams when you look in the rear view mirror and see them.

According to some from other sites, there's a small inverter box near the fuse box under the hood with the label "warning hot", simply pull the plug out of that box and the drl should be disable. This is something people did on the IS so the location of the box might be different.

I believe on the RX the DRL are on the High Beams, just remove the bulbs and your done. Simple Solution
Besides, how often do you use your high beams? probably never. so just remove the bulbs.

To disable DRL, I removed one of the black plugs by the passenger side fender. in order to do that, the engine cover on the right(passenger) side has to be removed. then there is a group of 4 black plugs on the side of the fender. remove te one for the drl and you are done. please dont ask me to show pix or anything because i no longer own/have the rx330. my ex-wife TOOK it!!!
hope this helps.
