Default Help! Cant get in to the car! RX300 (2004)

Hope someone has a magic fix for this. Battery in car is completely discharged on the girlfriends car and key fob wont open the doors. Key fob battery has been changed so ruled that out. The physical key wont open the door either as deadlocked. Tried a break in kit and hooking the lever, lever moves but door not opening due to deadlock I suspect. Tried hooking bonnet lever but hard to see and doesn't seem to open either. Cant see anywhere underneath to connect charger as Starter motor is inaccessible. Had Green Flag out and they cant get into it. I have in anticipation ordered a new drivers window and will smash the glass tomorrow to get in unless someone has another idea?

I'm almost sure the key would open either front door mechanically and does not need working battery- can anyone confirm this???

By chance did someone install an aftermarket tow hitch harness with a fused power wire running all the way back to the battery?
If so this could be convenient right now to get power to unlock doors.

PS- Please confirm RX300 or RX330???

It's been a while since I've been around one one but the manual key should work on the driver side door handle. You aren't able to deadlock the driver's door. The key hole is either on the underside of handle or there's a cover over the hidden key hole that you pop off. It blends in so well you may not think it's there. Good luck.

+1 Above post.

There is no reason to break the window like a caveman. lol

I dug thru the schematics and found no where that 12vdc can be tapped into from outside of car to power up the door locks unless there is any aftermarket wiring somewhere.
Edit- what I mean by this is if there was a wire anywhere that could be accessed from outside of car that goes straight to the battery positive terminal (including thru fuses) a person could apply +12V and could slow charge battery or at least have enough power to unlock doors but all power source branch circuits go thru relays and even the front marker lights are powered thru the body ecu so I found no hacks for this yet.
Worst case can hire a lockout professional to get that door open without making so much extra work for yourself.

Het Andyb63, how did you fare? When you find the key hole, a squirt of WD-40 or similar anti seize will help a lot.

Yes, if door lock wasn't broken before.

PS: Did you call for the door-open-service like triple-A?

Thanks for the replies.

Well, I could not find any other solution than to smash the window! As soon as I had power to the battery the door lock worked with key in the hole and with the remote the key fob. I've never experienced a door lock that wont work with a key until its powered! Replacing the window was fairly straight forward and worst part was clearing up smashed glass. Taped the window up before smashing it but still get loads everywhere. Will replace the battery now and should keep the other half happy for a while! Has reminded me to have a good check over of my GS now.

Hope when you get your car checked, they resolve the lock issue. If you get a dead battery again, you won't need to break glass again.
