For some reason lately after every time I stop to fill up w gas after; my cruising range keeps going down every time and now I’m not getting as much range as I use to. I use to get like 350 miles or more per tank;
now after I just filled up Its down to 311 miles. What’s up with this? Fuel filter going bad? Fuel pump going out?

 

Do you use AC all the time? AC increases fuel consumption.

 

I get about 300 miles to a tank all around....I'm seeing a lot more ppl on the roads/freeways now vs last month as well. I use the odometer vs the how far to go.....btw the fuel filter is hooked to the pump, if you have a pump going out you'd know it. Like mentioned above, using the a/c uses more fuel........

 

well this time of year around here thats a given lol. ITS HOT!!!!. but even with ac usage i was previously still getting a lot better mileage.

 

what about throttle body cleaning? I was told by my shop i go to for oil changes that it could need cleaning

 

When were spark plugs replaced last time?

 

over 600kms (~370 miles)in my rx350

 

they were just done last fall and wont need to be done again til 240,000 miles and im a long ways from that at almost 147000 miles.

 

Loaded up with turtle top and rear hitch cargo Got 24 mpg on 900 mi trip. Premium fuel and kept it around 65-70. Drove with my foot not the cruise
If you go over 70 mileage drops off.

 

what is your driving style? how far do you drive?

 

usually i drive almost 40 miles a day; sometimes more.

 

Did you check the air filter? Is it clean?
PS: maybe something wrong with your air mass controller...

 

you mean maf? mass airflow sensor. yea i probably should try cleaning it. Ive already got the cleaner for it so yea.
