Hello,
My Lexus RX400h has over 200 000KM and I decided that it is time to change the CVT transmission and differential fluid. I understand it required the same ATF WS fluid.
Question:
I am a fan of Liqui Moly and considering that I bought the Liqui Moly Top Tec ATF 1800 fluid. However, while changing it I noticed that the original fluid is in red color front transmission (almost black) and the rear differential has light red (like new, however, decided that color does not say everything about its quality left), but the Liqui Moly fluid color is transparent. Why is that? Would you recommend to use Liqui Moly even the color differs? Liqui Moly says that it is ok for Toyota WS.
Will be very grateful for any comments here.

The diff in the rear & the transfer case require a 80-90 diff fluid vs the trans axle......I know the cvt is a different style trans & uses special cvt fluid that really stinks, at least on a couple vehicles I was looking to buy before a rx.....I'd use whatever fluid Toyota recommends for their cvt.
