Hanging in front of each front tire, is a thick piece of rubber.
It looks like a uvula for each tire.
OEM parts call it a Fender Liner Pad Insulator. (538520E011)
What the heck is it for?

Good question.....I've seen it & not really paid attention to it.

I've wondered the same. Another question is on the exhaust, about mid-vehicle, there's a black cylinder bolted to the exhaust pipe. I can't figure out what the heck it is.

Thats for vibration or to cut down on it......I don't have that anymore as I added a 2.5'' Magnaflow converter as well as a 2.5''Walker super turbo muffler w/ 2.5'' piping......

Just a guess but I'm betting it's to reduce sound, disrupting the airflow before it hits the wheel well and chassis?

Just yesterday I was looking at that black tongue and was sure its missing a piece till I noticed same on other fender.
Sure looks ugghh!
I’m guessing it’s a “Spoiler” to deflect wind and water off the tires ??
