Rear axle / differential carrier removal

Rear axle / differential carrier removal
I am changing a rear differential carrier on a 2007 rx350 awd. The unit was run dry and is rumbling. How are the rear axles separated from the differential carrier? Are there retaining clips or snap rings or do they just pop out with force? Thanks for any help!

Haven't done this myself, but attached are a couple of PDFs for the differential and transfer case that may help. If they're not the right ones, let me know exactly what you're looking for and I'll see if I can find some additional documentation. Good luck. Bob
