actually i was right; i went to a lexus dealer today and showed them how it droops etc and they did show me where that bracket is actually part of the entire headlight assembly so u are mistaken by saying u can get the bracket by itself because well; u cant as its part of the headlight assembly and those are not cheap.

In your original post, you said the bracket was broken and the special service parts below are for when the bracket is broken. I sure hate it when the Lexus parts catalogs are wrong ... for the right side, it shows the following for the repair:

$23.68 with part number 81126-48020: https://parts.lexus.com/p/Lexus_2008...112648020.html
$12.18 with part number 81193-78010: https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...193-78010.html
$5.20 with part number 91197-48021: https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...197-48021.html
$10.68 with part number 81195-76010: https://parts.lexus.com/p/Lexus__/RE...119576010.html

BTW, I take it your vehicle doesn't have the screws holding the brackets as called out in the diagram?

i dont recall there being screws per say but in fact there could be but i wasnt exactly looking for those at the time. if there are separate parts then why could i see where the part that holds the headlight assembly in place was actually part of the headlight assembly itself? i ask because IT IS!!! all one part headlight assembly and all. u cant tell me otherwise because the service advisor i dealt with at the dealer i went to today clearly pointed out and i could see it with my own eyes that the headlight assembly and that bracket that broke is in fact all one part. Go look at your own rx and u will see it should be all one part; and that part is ultra expensive as mine is not just hid lights but also is afs.

some of the parts listed here arent for the rx but are for the nx; and if u can get them separate then why did i see for myself that the part that broke was directly connected to the headlight assembly?

Post a photo of your brackets or CLOSE the topic!!!
PS: Yes, the brackets are the part of headlamp body and you have to cut them off if you need to install the replacement. I DID IT ON my RX.

the lexus service advisor did say i could use expoxy but they also said it would only be a temp fix as it will eventually break away again at some point.

He has no idea what he is talking about I use 3m epoxy when retro fitting headlights, and doing custom interior plastic projects it hold up as long as its done properly prep is everything. But from experience the 3m epoxy will fix it permanently if done right. I have also used it to fix broken light tabs also.

I told you that you can buy a cheap replacement if your bracket is broken. That's it. You don't need anything else.

Wait what ... you mean the Service Advisor was wrong and there is a cheaper replacement option? He/she may not want to provide the option, but Lexus catalog definitely showed individual parts.

no the advisor was right when he said it was all one part meaning the bracket and the headlight assembly are all one part; and that would be $$$$$ for me which is money i dont have and the only way i could see just reusing the current headlight assembly and putting in a new bracket is to cut the old broken one off and somehow epoxy a new one in its place; but the problem with that is eventually the epoxy is just going to give way after some time from heat and or vibration etc so bottom line here is the only way to solve the problem is new headlight assemblies.
