05 rx330 headlights!
Hey guys, playing the lovely game of burnt out headlights. Went and replaced the burnt bulb twice and still no luck. Went and checked fuses and no luck there either. Now im leaning towards ballast. The car has 280k on it and I don't care about the bulbs being HID. Its my beater Daily and I just need the headlight to work. With that being said, does anyone know of a system that allows to transfer from HID to a Halogen bulb? I don't want to keep paying for HID bulbs and also don't care about the color mis match. really looking for the cheapest option here, switch out ballast and roll with HID's or hopefully someone has a recommendation to convert fully to halogen.
Thanks so much in advance you guys rock!!

There's not really a cheap conversion because the HID equipped RX's have AFS and not only will the connectors be different but it'll throw a dash light for AFS error.
What bulbs are you buying? Cheap Philips and Osram replicas are notorious for dying even though the ballast can be fine.
Worse case: if you're handy, I'd replace the ballast, if not, get a used whole assembly and call it a day.

Not running the cheap guys. Been putting in EIKO d2s.
I done the ballast by myself twice before. So it's not a big deal. I just hate tearing the damn thing apart ever 30ish months or so.

thanks for this info! I had this happen to one of my hid lights and to a standard brights bulb on the other side; i thought it was possibly my ballast on the hid side or even the controller for it; but it turned out to simply be just the bulb being burned out. But geez those hid bulbs arent cheap!! I had my trusted shop down the street replace both bulbs; the hid bulb was like almost 70 bucks i think it was so it wasnt the other bulb that was the costly part.l
