Yeah I seen some like that from up north.
Only reason I posted pics is some perpective of what is considered "normal" for other areas so guess it all depends on where someone lives maybe.

In my neck of the woods - Ohio & Michigan a car is considered "rust-free" unless there are rust holes starting to form in the body panel.

the OP pictures shows a remarkably rust free example of an 2nd gen RX

I live in upstate NY and that is slightly worse than my RX, as long as the unibody is rotten from the inside out your fine, just get underneath and smack the unibody with your fist or a rubber mallet to make sure its not a rot box.
