i am coasting or going down hill, consumption shows 3 to 4 litres per 100 km.

Do you want more or less? )))

-------------------------------
PS: "Real" consumption can be computed with the next algorithm.
1. Fill the full tank (until gas pump is turned off automatically), reset Trip A (or Trip B) ODO.
2. Return to the same gas station and the same gas pump when the tank is almost empty.
3. Fill the full tank (until gas pump is turned off automatically). Divide milage from Trip A (or Trip B) ODO by number off gallons shown on gas pump. Now you have your average MPG.
4. Repeat points 1-3 several times.

If you "coast" downhill at 10mph (or kilometers or whatever you people use) the computer will show a lower MPG than if you "coast" at 50mph because you are covering less ground at 10mph.

Coasting consumption is not a good way to calculate fuel usage.
Take the advice of the post above by iMSQ.
