Hi Forum,

Unfortunately, I have created a problem by myself. As a preventative measure, I applied WD40 silicone spray to the door hinges of a rear door. The door was basically fine before this procedure.

I now have a ugly noise when opening/closing the door which sounds like rubbing metal on metal.

I have tried to apply liquid wrench lithium grease to no avail.

I have attached a video showing the problem:

Honestly, I feel rather stupid after doing this. Could you please help me with fixing this?

VAG has sprays for key cylinder and for door hinges. Try to ask Toyota/Lexus if they have similar products.
