Default No audio from radio solution

Hello all,

I have encountered a common problem in my 2009 rx350.

symptoms: No audio from radio in any setting, can see the volume control working, but no audio is produced , Nav voice works even though music does not.

Basic solutions tried: checked all fuses, reset ecu, disconnected amp, and replaced amp.

solution: after swapping my amp as this is most common issue, and having no luck, I pulled the head unit and found that there was a loose/bad connection in the wiring harness. The location was not directly connected to the head unit, but rather a bit down the wire in the back right of the dash.

important note: I thought it was my amp as all symptoms led me to believe that, but I noticed when the amp is disconnected you will not be able to see the volume control when you turn the ***. Therefore, if you can see the volume control when adjusting this may let you know that your amp is ok, as if it were burnt out or not functioning you would not see this numeric value.

hope this helps others.
