The only way you'll drain the torque converter, is when you'll remove it or have the trans flushed via the cooler hoses as techs did when I worked next door in the body shop. I'd just get a gallon of Maxlife trans fluid w/ a Wix trans filter, remove the pan & clean the two magnets w/ brake clean, which a drain/fill doesn't do. Since your there, I'd also get 2 qtrs of diff oil for the rear end & transfer case, I used 2 qtrs of 75/90 Royal Purple diff oil.

I put about 5.5 qts of ATF in after doing engine rear main seal. Everytime I turned the TC more ATF leaked out of course. Initial fill was less than 4, but after several short trips, needed to add almost 2 more before level stabilized.

the transfer case is still the same issue I have on my 07 rx350 currently. The seals are all "seeping" fluid and every place Ive checked still wants in the 1000s of dollars to take it out and reseal it as I do believe the entire trans has to come out to get the transfer case out. So Im just leaving it as is and at every oil change i have my indy shop top it off which they do at no charge for me. But there probably will be a point where i have to bite the bullet and have it resealed if it starts "puddling" on the ground.
