Default 2008 RX350, Exterior mirrors adjust on their own, (relay location?)

If I try to adjust the "side-mirror" using the button to adjust the left exterior side-mirror, then the mirror tilts up. What it does is that the mirror starts adjusting and won't stop, it will click, click, click...until I "switch to the other exterior side-mirror, then the right exterior side-mirror starts adjusting and won't stop, it also will click, click, click...
Even, if I put it in the middle, one or the other mirrors keep clicking until I stop the car. Is there a relay that could do this or is it in this, could this part be the problem? https://www.autozone.com/electrical-...ay/lexus/rx350

I found this and these are the fuses on the driver's side and above the brake pedal. Taking out this fuse for the "mirror heat"* did not stop the mirrors from malfunctioning. Until I can fix the mirrors, I would like to disable the mirrors.

I think we can rule out the relay since the power circuit seems to be functioning normally.
Since the issue is with adjusting both mirrors, it sounds like the Switch is the problem.

From your diagram, try Fuse #34 to disable the mirrors, but you'll also lose windows, locks, remote locks.

But I think your 4-way switch with the arrows for adjusting the mirrors is bad, (however, the mirrors should be de-activated when the other switch is
in the middle.)

Sorry, I'm not sure. I don't know if the bottom panel needs to be removed or if just the switch can be wedged out without damaging the plastic.

Well, I just found this. It's looks really easy to pop that lower piece out from under the steering wheel.
This video is about installing a stereo, but she also shows how to remove the panel holding the Mirror adjusting switch.

Don't just think cleaning the contacts is going to fix the switch, as its working all the time.......Replace it w/ a new one.

i agree with felix; its more than likely the entire switch itself thats bad and it doesnt sound like just cleaning the contacts with cleaner will resolve that so yer better off just getting a replacement switch.

I'm thinking bad switch too, maybe worth a try.
When my mirrors were dying they would click as described above because the motors were shot and slipping but described above sounds like sticky switch to me and clicking when they are reached their max position but just a guess.

Also, depending on if the car has power mirror "Memory" or not depends on the replacement part because they work differently and are not the same.

If I try to use the 4-way switch or the button on the right of it that has (L / R), then the right mirror starts tilting up until it will go no further, then clicks. The exact same thing with the Left mirror...the mirror tilts all the way up then clicks until the car is turned off, nothing will stop it, BUT when I turn of the car, then have the L/R set in the middle and DO NOT touch the 4-way switch or the L/R, then neither mirror moves(which is good at this point). So, yes, the switch must be it.

If you decide to buy a switch, I'd check out ebay for a used one. I'm seeing them as low as $10.
I strongly recommend you remove your switch first and make certain the back matches the switch you're going to buy.
I'm seeing a couple of variations of the plug receptacle for this switch.

This one on ebay that's right out of an RX does not match the switch you linked above made by Dorman.

There are lots of Toyota switches on ebay if you search for "Toyota Mirror Switch 183574."
