The problem was when the sun shined on it it had filaments in carpet that were shiny and sort of sparkled. The sparkles were distracting and made the whole thing look cheap. I returned it and replaced it with the suedemat. Much smoother fit and no sparkles. Spend a few extra bucks and get the suedemat. It can hide a whole slew of sins and looks damn good.

Get ordering the a black carpeted one, just need to mention where your speaker are located at, my are on the sides of the dash. I suggest you mock it up, to see how it fits first. I ended up cutting about .05'' from the leading edge. The cats had a something to play w/ for a bit, LOL

Thinking going with a black dash cover in your car would look good too, can do either IMO.

I might just do that.
Don't have any cracks yet but that's the point, I don;t want any cracks and I think this mat may help protect.

I believe mine is the "DashMat" original model in black. Quality of material is fine, although the fit is not so perfect. I kind of wiggled it around to get it to fit the best I could using extra two-sided tape. I got any high points to lay flat by placing a wet towel on them and letting it dry there. I llke the looks more than the plain dash.

Default the suede...

fits easier, smoother, and looks way better than the carpet model. even the back side of the suede does a better job of staying in place via the hooky tape provided.
