Very recently our 2009 Lexus RX 350 developed tears in the dashboard directly over the passenger side airbag.
I've read some old threads on this forum regarding a recall that expired a few years ago. As well, there were a couple of references for "dash covers". However, it appears the dash covers for this make/model/year have an opening for the air bag. This presents an obvious problem for us...that's EXACTLY where ours is torn!
I also had a leather/vinyl repair company decline making repairs due to liability.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can get fillers to take care of the cracks, or covercraft dash mat.... $$$$$ for a new one.... other than that there is a you tube vid on replacement cover fits right on top around $450

I have a tiny tear where my airbag would be, and my Airbag light is now on. Didn't know if it is related or a fluke.

No it's not on.

That's interesting. Our light is not on.

The dash cracking and the airbag light being on are not related. Unfortunately you have a problem with the airbag system.
