Weird Clicking sound in 2004 RX330, any ideas??
I have this weird clicking sound that comes on at odd times. it is not consistent. sometimes its there, other times its not.
I do not have the a/c or heat on.
it is coming from the bottom of the center console on the front passenger side.
I have no clue what it is and is pretty annoying lol.
is this an easy fix? or should i take it in for an actual mechanic?
yea, i know. first one i shouldnt have been driving. sorry. the other two are when im parked

Hi vanguy10,
I thought of this thread when I was poking around under the dash today so I took a pic for you.
A week or so ago I did a knock sensor hack at the ecm encouraged by another helpful member and left the glovebox removed.
Yesterday I was poking around under there checking the action of the blend door servo on that side and looking to see if there was access to the expansion valve while I had it all apart.
With the glovebox removed there is a black plastic downward vent tube that pulls off when 2 claw clips are depressed and gives full view of this area on passenger side.
There is a black flap servo in the center of the pic with a greased plastic arm- this is the air mix blend door servo for hot & cold for passenger side only and it may be clicking/dying or from here you may be able to get a better idea which servo it is.
For pic perspective you are looking at the edge of the cabin air filter in the pic on the top right.
