Default Trans cooler hose part number

One of the hoses coming from the trans cooler has split at the clamp on my '07. I tried putting a gear clamp behind the stock clamp but its still leaking so has to be replaced. Anyone know the part number of this hose? Might just get generic trans fluid hose and cut to length.

(Yes look at all the rust, the joys of driving in salt for 5 months of the year)

I measured the pipe portion just before the clamp and its a bit over 11mm. I see 3/8" hoses everywhere which is 9.5mm but not sure if that would work. 7/16 might be too big and not very common.

Looks like the hose is part # 3294348070 and over $50 for a 1 foot hose geez.

That's a lot of $ for just a hose and no fittings. I'd go to the local auto parts store and see what they have for hoses. They charge buy the foot, so you could buy a couple of sizes and see what works.

Picked up some 3/8 hose to try. How much fluid loss should I expect when I remove that hose? I'm guessing the cooler is only pressurized when transmission is operating and there shouldn't be much fluid loss when that hose is removed?

Since the transmission is full of oil, it all depends on what the attachment points connect to. If the hose goes into the oil pan reservoir, you will get a lot of oil coming out. I suggest you get one end of the hose almost all the way off and then work on the other end. Have the new hose handy and then work fast.

Going to be a little messy but that's ok, need speed like mentioned above.
These help to pinch off a hose on one side.

Add- fluid gets scalding hot so plz do on cold engine.

Of course!
It didn't even occur to me he could pinch off the hose with vise grips!
Lisle makes a Hose Pincher that's handy to have when doing brake calipers.

Minimal fluid loss when that hose is removed, lost less than a cup, dip stick level basically didn't even change.

3/8 fits well, the OEM hose looks bigger because the walls are thicker.

Thank you for following up and posting your results, I think I used 3/8" too but can't remember since I bought a couple sizes to try.

Yeah you won't lose much especially if done cold it will just be uncomfortable working on the side so you don't get it in your face and mouth. lol

Don't be an idiot like me anyone reading this in the future and plz wait until the motor cools off cold because I had ants in my pants to get it done and thought it cooled down enough and pulled the hoses and it came out fast and very hot and burned me good but I was ready for the hose swap so I didn't lose enough to need to add any extra fluid either...
Add- and yes I had a hose on one side pinched off and it still got me.
