Default Backup Camera 2004

I have an RX330 4Wheel and would like to install an in-dash backup camera. My first question is, is it possible? How do I know if it has been wired for it? I now have the radio. CD, with cassette tape

Only way to know is to pop the interior tailgate panels off and see if there's an extra plug by the license plate lights. However, know that most Toyota backup cameras run of 6v instead of typical 12v, while you can integrate the video, most people have a hard time giving it power.

I have a better suggestion that I am currently trying on a family's camry. Amazon rearview mirror dual dash cam with backup cam capabilities. Kills two birds (maybe 3) with one stone and if done right, can look OEM. The hard part is running the wires but it's very easy to setup and as of now, works very well but I'm still early in my testing.

If you don't have factory Nav it will do no good if the wiring for a plug is in the trunk because
stock camera video runs thru a "Camera ECU" in the trunk before it hits the NAV display
in the dash and you won't have that or the wiring.

On our cars there are many wire harness sections stiching everything together and they
are joined at harness junction connectors and boxes.

It seems lexus changes wire the harness sections between the junctions depending on the stock
options and this is how you can be sure that while most of the wires in our cars are the same there
will be harness sections that are incompatible(depending on options).

PS- I saw one of those rear view backup cameras on a RX350 like Lexuswiz mentions
above and I thought it was aftermarket because I didn't know it was an
factory option like mentoned above.

Margate, it can be an OEM option if you have no Nav but mine is completely aftermarket and much larger display (with the frameless look). But thinking deeper into it, might not work well for the RX as it has the auto dimming mirror which this does not integrate with.

I like the way she solves problems, thinking about a newer gen RX or going another route?
